started exactly as planned, and worked efficiently and effectively with little need for any input from us. Our boiler is in the attic so there was lots of travel up and down stairs, but carpet protectors were put down, and there was very little dust or dirt generated. All in all a painless and simple experience from our side.

Supplied and installed a new boiler in our house in May 2016. Very professional, polite, everything done on time as specified, and at a reasonable price. I would have no hesitations about using this company again should the need arise.

I had a plumbing emergency - no hot water! - as a result of a company "engineer" cleaning clogged filters in his product and draining all my pipes! Couldn't get the hot water to flow again so he told me to "call a plumber" and left! Owen was sympathetic to my situation when I called him late in the day and said he would come over as soon as possible, but possibly not until morning. He was recommended by a friend and did not know me. I was very pleasantly surprised when he came to my door about 30 minutes later! He assessed the situation very quickly and climbed up into the very dirty attic space above the hot water tank. I heard him diving into the water supply tank up there, and soon he asked me to turn on the hot water tap. Behold! The hot water was back! Thank you, Owen for coming over so quickly and bringing my hot water back to life. Your concern for my well being is much appreciated. All the best, Gerry

Very friendly whilst continuing to be professional and reliable, they were here when they said they would be and cleaned up when they were finished. They were very helpful and I would recommend them to my friends and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for heating/plumbing engineer and I will definitely not use any other company whilst they are still around.

I have previously had quality jobs carried out by Owen and this was a bit of a tricky job moving location of three radiators in an old Edinburgh flat. I am very pleased with the work carried out by Owens son Dale who is a credit to both Owen and the family business. Owen Gibb and Sons were extremely good. They promptly provided advice and then a quotation. The plumbers arrived exactly when they said they would and worked efficiently and neatly. They were friendly and informative but worked diligently throughout the day. They also tidied up at the end of the day and kept me informed of what they were doing. I was very pleased with their work and did not feel inconvenienced by them working in the house.

Many thanks to Owen Gibb & Sons for completing a very tricky communal repair in our block. We had to repair a leaking drainpipe located in a service shaft that was only accessible by breaking through the bathroom wall of one of the flats. We invited 7 companies to quote for this job - Owen & Gibb were the only one willing to look at it and scheduled the work very quickly. They carefully disassembled the bathroom fittings, replaced the leaking pipe section, repaired the wall, refitted and decorated the bathroom exactly as before. All done with courtesy, efficiency and minimal disruption. And considering the work involved, the cost was very reasonable. We would happily recommend Owen & Gibb to others.

The work was carried out to the highest of standards. The plumbers came prepared with all the relevant parts. They worked quickly to complete the job and left everything clean and tidy.

We had a standard radiator replaced with a vertical radiator, which required our wall to have supports added to take the weight. As agreed the job was completed over two visits and all work was carried out to a very high standard.

Owen Gibb & Sons responded on the same day as my request for assistance with a leak affecting my flat, thanks Debbie. Their team arrived on time, identified the issue, proposed a solution and returned as agreed to resolve it. I would highly recommend Owen Gibb & Sons.

Had to replace a boiler in a let property. It involved works to the flue which meant ceilings had to come down. Luckily the team took the ceiling down and put it back up with minimal disruption. They even first filled the marks so that all it needs is a quick coat of paint and it will look like nothing happened. Really well done!

OwenGibb provided a Gas Safety Certificate for our tenanted property. They handled booking the slot directly with the tenant which was much easier for the landlord !
